Lovely desk from noted designer Bertha Schaefer. Schaefer began designing for Singer and Sons, New York in 1950 where she created several pieces for them over the following 11 years, including this desk. Made from Italian walnut this simple, well-made desk features an elevated paper tray/catch-all. Made in 1955.
